Bull's eye maculopathy of the eye. Fundus image of the interior surface of the eye of a patient, showing a 'bull's eye' lesion on the macula - the central region of the retina. This condition, known as bull's eye maculopathy, is a form of retinopathy (damage to the retina) caused by the drugs chloroquine or hydroxychloroquine. Here, the patient was taking one of these drugs as an antimalarial medication.
