The Burnt Island Light sits at the entrance to Boothbay Harbor. In 1821, the rubblestone tower was 20 feet tall to the base of the lantern, topped by an octagonal wrought-iron lantern, seven feet high, containing lighting apparatus consisting of 10 whale oil lamps and corresponding 13-inch reflectors.
