Drawing - Pen And Ink
There used to be an old, rickety wooden bench in Whiteriver, AZ , that served as the local bus stop.(until the wind blew it down). Three old ladies used to sit there and visit. I would wonder what they were talking about and HOW did that old bench stay standing with all three of them seated at once???
I also noticed what I came to understand as a great example of good manners exhibited by the older Apache women. The one in the middle is the "primary speaker" for this part of the conversation; the one to the viewer's left, the" primary listener", may answer or add to the conversation. The lady on your right may listen only and may not contribute to the immediate conversation at any time. When the subject changes, so does the order of conversation.
