Bypass Canal Of Moscow River - Featured 3
Here you see the bypass canal of Moscow river. To the right you see part of Balchug (marshy) island. Some old industrial buildings were converted into coffee shops, business and recreation centres and showrooms. To the left you also see an old industrial building of red color converted into a modern multifunctional business center. At the front you see the boxy building of Tretyakov's Gallery of Arts. This is a modern building of the gallery to exhibit arts of 20-21 centuries. Then comes Peter the Great statue. Malicious gossip states that originally it was the monument to Columbus but the USA were reluctant to accept this gift, so the head of the statue was changed to Peter's the Great. I should say that the statue is dressed not according to Russian fashion of czar Peter's epoch but most likely according to Spanish style. Three factors drew my attention at the place: yellow window light, white ice floes and all enveloping blue color of winter evening.
