Description:

This is the last remaining cab forward locomotive, on static display at the Sacramento Train Museum. A huge machine, it was articulated in the middle so it could negotiate curves. The complexity of the sides of this behemoth is simply amazing. I placed it into a fictional setting on the east side of the Sierras, exiting one of the long tunnels for which it was designed.

Thanks, Bryan. The setting is imaginary--I did use photos I took at the Sacramento Train Museum for reference.
