Meaning behind the art: I wasn’t in the good emotional state when I started to create this piece…I’ve trained myself to bring my drama to the paper surface. I had made a collage sketch earlier in the morning after spilling and venting on my journal pages. But there was still some unsettled stuff floating around. Trying hard to not react to life I fall short now and then, usually done while thinking of the good of others or not minding my own business. Art and being creative affords me a place to bring the stuff that still needs sorting out. I am thankful for the safe haven of art, the creative process and reacting in a positive way that I might find a peaceful place of grounding and balance. How a cabin in the woods would be a perfect escape.
