Description
Cable car passengers enjoy spectacular views over early morning fog covering the city of La Paz, Bolivia, in the valley below. This new transport system (which opened officially in May 2014) connects La Paz with the city of El Alto. The network is still being extended and is the largest urban Cable-Propelled Transit (CPT) system in the world as well as the highest (central La Paz is at an altitude of around 3650m / 11,970ft, El Alto 4,050m / 13,280ft). The peak in the right background is Mt Illimani (6439m / 21,125ft), Bolivia's second highest mountain and symbol of the city.

Many thanks to the buyer in Paris, Île-de-France who recently bought a print of this image, much appreciated and all the best for 2021!

Very cool shot... I was there in 2005, and this would have been very nice. Driving theses distances seem to take forever there.
James Brunker replied:
Thank you Matt! As someone who drives regularly in the vehicular anarchy on the streets of La Paz I can confirm that the cable cars are a superb way to travel....!
