Description
This painting is a Mary Carol memory type piece. Someone said I should paint a cake again and that became my starting point. Yet it evolved. My Mom was a great cake baker and decorator thus the cake on the stand. When she placed a fresh flower on the cake, I was fascinated and purple was her favorite color. The coral color of the stand was because she thought I looked good in it and I didn't think it was me! Lemonade-homemade-is so special. My Dad after he retired grew zillions of red tomatoes. Stars were something I earned as a child and also gave my son when a difficult task was attained (like sleeping without a light). The hanging lamp was a memory of two my Grandmom had in a depression glass style. This is the largest work I have attempted to date.
