Description
In childhood we would sit round a campfire with marshmallows and hotdogs on sticks. We'd sing 'Home on the Range' in harmony, imagining cowboys and indians, wide open spaces and deep canyons. I made this piece to go with Arrow Heads.

Yes, Ingrid, I think you are right... but in the end, whether painting with brush and canvas or digitally, whether choosing a primal subject or something current and trendy, we are humans behind the art and we paint what we feel and remember. I paint from imagination. My art comes from whatever pieces of things remain in my brain and emotions. I have a virtual canvas because I can no longer paint on a physical one, and the happy result of that is many more options and techniques for expressing what I feel and imagine. Thanks so much for your insightful comment!

Wonderful to see a digital rendition of something as primal as gathering around a campfire. There is much to think about that juxtaposition.

Wow! I really like this! It gets me thinking of those campfire stories, with many characters swirling through the smoke! Great stuff!
