Description:

"Camping at Figueroa Mt's."

During the Summer of 2007, the Zaca fire in the Los Padres Nations Forest broke loose and burned down 240,207 acres between July 4th and August 5th 2007. The acrylic painting, "Camping at Figueroa Mt's" (above) is of a quiet camping spot I used to go to with my friends. It's about a mile hike from the last parking/camping area, called Nira. There is a hiking trail and a creek. Anyhow, I haven't been back there in a year and won't be open until after the rainy season of 2008. I hope this wonderful place didn't burn down.
