Thank you so much everyone for your great comments and sharing personal experiences. Cancer has also been in my family and sadly took my father a few years back. This inspired this piece which is the way I feel about it is and how cruel it can be.

I have three friends fighting for their lives now. This is just what I imagine it to be Paul. My own cancer was so minor, my husband battled for a year and is a 15 year survivor, My father dies at 58 with lung cancer, Isn't it scarey how many people we know with this disease.. how prevalent it is.This is a wonderful tribute Paul.

What a heartfelt image and words this is. Your image goes right into me, since I have one kidney removed just because of cancer. VF
