Catch The Wind
Hanne Lore Koehler
Painting - Watercolor
This white water sailing enthusiast was in Lake Huron's Georgian Bay, a popular sailing and boating area in Northern Ontario.
The Laser sailboat was originally named the "Weekender" because it was designed to be carried on the roof of a car; the sail sported the letters TGIF, a common American/Canadian abbreviation for "Thank God it's Friday". The Laser became a men's Olympic-class boat at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, and the Laser Radial was first sailed as a women's Olympic-class boat at the 2008 Summer Olympics.
