Chevy Taxi Cab

Rusty amid the fragrant sagebrush of the desert, this taxi cab and a number of other old trucks sat stoically in the desert. A dusty monument to Americas chrome trimmed past. Each truck, a story all its own. Each truck once sat proudly on a Ford lot, a work of metal American prowess awaiting a lifetime of service. Many daddys were recognized coming home in these trucks. These recognizable icons graced the driveways of carpenters, farmers, masons, grandfathers, and brothers far and wide. Fading in the dryness of the high desert they decay slowly as dignified remnants of a more simple time when a hand shake was a contract and texting was a postcard. Their rubber is hard, their paint is worn, their seats are but springs absent canvas, but they stand against the powerful desert sun and age with elegance.
