Hi Natalie, This is a very good observation that I will definitely take into account. There are definitely venues I shouldn't do--and it has been a nice experience here on FAA which is turning into one of the venues I should keep doing. You certainly have much more experience, having travelled so many places, and I can see it in your art. I am positive more niches will reveal themselves to you and you will do just fine! Good luck! :)

Dear Evie, I really like your work and all the details.About your reflexion about "not hearing anything about your work and starting to think it's no good", well it is a really interesting subject; I recently starting to experiment a new style half way between cubism and impressionism. I had this work in an art gallery in Key West for 6 months and absolutely no interest. Then i brought this collection at my house and every body is raving about it and wants to buy it, so i think it is about showing the right stuff at the right place and the right time

Thanks, Joanne. :) I "paint" these by hand in Photoshop, and it's called digital art or digital graphic design. There are so many tools in Photoshop or Photoshop Elements, and I probably only use about 20% of them to do this type of art. Aa a photographer you should get into Photoshop or Elements and learn it bit by bit. You'll see how you can do this kind of art. There are also books about art done in Photoshop that show you how to do very similar things step by step. Hope you have fun with it!

Evie, I'm new to this website. I've always been interested in photography and have taken 2 semesters in college and I love digital scrapbooking as well. I don't know what this type of artwork is called, but I really love it and I love your work too. It's great and such a great job. I'm a chocoholic myself so this touches me deeply. I love it! Wish I knew how to go about doing this type of work.

So true! Yum. :) To answer your question at least a little bit, it is mainly done in Photoshop. There is a great tool of "layer modes" where you can put shapes and textures or swatches of colors over other things and make them semi-opaque or create other effects with the shapes laying over each other. If you have Photoshop Elements you can start to expriment with this. Have fun!

Love this, Eve! Since I know nothing of digital art, I am intrigued by the making of this piece. It certainly has real appeal and so glad you are getting the recognition you deserve, as yes, I know what it feels like to wonder if your work is "no good" as you stated it. Encourgaing comments sure help. You deserve it. Lovely and how can anything about chocolate not be?

I wrote the following in response to the comments on my "Chocolate" piece--I want to write it here too: Wow--my first sales and all these positive comments. Thanks guys for writing---makes an artist feel good! Sometimes if you don't hear anything about your work you start to think it's no good. Anyone out there ever experience that?? Aha! So these comments mean a lot to me. Thank you all for taking the time to write a note.

Evie, there must of been a glitch that so many comments were generated.
