Painting - O/c
This is an oil painting of a lonely lighthouse somewhere off the east coast of New England. It could be Maine, or even Nova Scotia or maybe Prince Edward Island. The lighthouse is built on huge snow covered rocks coming up from the sea forming a small island. The tower of the light is weathered and cracked. You can see the exposed boulders used for its construction behind the fallen plaster. The light in the tower is on and so are the lights in the house. Smoke is coming out of the chimney. There is a small stairway leading up the cliff and a Christmas tree next to the front door. Red bows and garland are along the eves and a wreath with a red bow is on the front door. Pine trees can be seen through the fog on the right side of the house. Off in the distance is a huge storm moving in, making the lighthouse keepers job more important than ever on this Christmas night. The fishermen will find their way back to port.
