Description
Christmas snow at Craigellachie Bridge in Speyside Scotland. This famous bridge spans the River Spey near Craigellachie in Moray or Historic Banffshire. The bridge was built between 1812-15 and designed by renowned engineer Thomas Telford. The oldest surviving cast iron bridge in Scotland it is considered one of the finest of its type in the the UK. Appealing to the eye a pair of historic looking castle like stone abutments guard each end of the single arch bridge. An inspired design and one of the most photographed bridges in Scotland. Merry Christmas everyone.
