Church Of Geometric Pattern
Aiolos Greek Collections
Traditional decorated church of Pyrgi village in Chios.
The Church of the Dormition of the Virgin in Pyrgi, Chios Island (Greece), located in the middle of the Pyrgi village square, was built in 1694 and painted with archetypal goemetric shapes and floral motifs. This type of painting is called xista and it literally means "scraped". That is because the technique used is scraping the top stucco layer revealing the underlying cement layer.
And also houses of this village has been decorated same geometric pattern.
