( Copyright Mel Steinhauer all rights reserved ) Hight atop Mt. Adams in Cincinnati you will find the Holy Cross - Immaculata Church. Built in 1860, the original steps were made of wood. Parishioners climbed these steps and prayed for the successful construction of their new church. Soon after, they began a tradition of praying here on Good Fridays. Still today, beginning at midnight on Holy Thursday until midnight Good Friday, the faithful come by the thousands to pray on these Mt. Adams Steps. That is why this church and these steps are just another one of the many ... Cincinnati Landmarks.
