Description:

This seems a rather stylized portrait to me, not as fully alive as many of my more recent ones feel to me, but I really enjoyed working with the patterns of Cisco's fur, and the grass, especially the edge between the two. Cisco's portrait was commissioned by my "boss," the director of the choir in which I met my husband, as a gift for her brother. She said her brother considered Cisco his "son," rather than his dog; Cisco went everywhere with him.
