Citalopram antidepressant molecule. Citalopram belongs to the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) class of drugs. It works by blocking the reuptake of the neurotransmitter serotonin in the brain. It is used to treat depression, anxiety disorders and obsessive compulsive disorder.
