What mostly attracted me to this was that Adam good company, due to spacing I can only read it the one way, but I really think they designed it like that on purpose. I also liked the newsie.
The trolley adds balance, and a touch of color. And many of the buildings you see here, still exist today. In fact most of these buildings were born roughly when this was taken.
I used the original building colors to make this. The trolley was tough because I couldn't find an exact match. So I went for bling, it could be green as well.
The Uneeda sign (Nabisco), I found an image that had that exact sign painted on a wall that someone repainted from the ghost version. There doesn't seem to be a standard though when it came to it, they used different colors.
It was a cloudy day, due to the lack of shadows, but the according to the reflection of a clock in a window is about 12:30. I chose a cloudy background because it easy on the eyes and provides depth, while at the same time it might explain the water on the side of the road.
