Description:

This is the western side of the Cape Peninsula that faces the Atlantic Ocean and receives the last light of the sun in the evening. Here Clifton Beach, one of the few areas in Cape Town that is protected from the fierce south easterly winds, is buffeted by high seas and unusually rough water. These high seas created perfect subject material on a day that was moderate with a busy sky which I always find attractive to paint.
