Club Smashes A Naphal
Drawing - Color Pencil, Markers, Inks
This is one of 195 illustrations contained in the first book of an adventure/fantasy series titled "The Vine Of Hours". I am the author/illustrator. The army of the innerworld, the Nephilim, who call themselves the Yorin-Claz, are on the move. They have come to the surface of the planet, led by the multi headed and multi winged Grigori, to take over the surface of the world. A war of conquest between the inner and outer worlds for total control of the planet is about to take place. The Yorin-Claz point of emergence is in the land of Bumpo where they have dug their way up from the inside of the planet to connect with the Bumpoian mining system, the deepest on the continent, and have been exiting through them onto the surface. They intend to engage and conquor the Bumpoians first, and then spread out, defeating each nation in turn until all the surface of the planet is theirs. Death to the humans! Take no prisoners! The shepherd Verachota, the first to sight the newly awakened dragon Iammyaza, the mystical occult catalyst that started all this, happened to be in the way of a large troop of Yorin-Claz, unknown to him. He is saved from their advance guard by a contingent of animals, extrodinary composite beings, led by the Leshzwee, the Forest Lord, who is here to ambush the main force of approaching Yorin-Claz. Verachota climbs the tallest tree near him at the Leshzwee's behest and the ambush begins. As the battle rages on one of the Yorin-Claz, who hate and despise all pure humans, sights Verachota hiding in the tree and begins to climb it to get at him and kill him. Just at the last moment when the naphal is within only a few feet of the weaponless shepherd, the Leshzwee, who, for the sake of the battle, has magically transformed himself into a great and tall giant, clubs the Naphal and stops his advance, saving Verachota's life.
