Coastal Forest Light

Oregon, east coastline, Fog and sunlight in the Siuslaw National Forest. Rock Creek Wilderness area. There are a few places left on the Oregon Coast where the protected national Forest reaches the coast line, free of homes, fee based developed state parks, lodging, businesses and private land. Although the drive along the coast can be quite nice regardless, it's very interesting to me to find areas that give an indication of what it was like before human populations. The relatively tiny but beautiful Rock Creek Wilderness north of Florence is an example and here the rays of the setting sun shine through the coastal fog and jungle like forest. The echoing sounds from birds that I didn't recognize would occasionally break the deep silence.
