Love the colours and the mood of this painting Angela! Are you using Corel Painter?

Angela A Stanton replied:

No Joan, I find Corel a little bit flat for digital painting that is made for print. I use Artrage and also the latest Photoshop CS6 Extended that has many great brushes and new ability to put in textures with some of the brushes--they have erodible pastels for example that work exactly and erode exactly as they would on paper! I also find the colors in Corel a bit lacking.. I have Corel but seldom if ever use it. :) I also have a Wacom Intuos 4 tablet--extra large--which comes with an awesome spring loaded pen that tilts and works just like a real brush, responding to all strokes and turns and pressures as a real brush would.

Angela A Stanton replied:

Thanks Jeff!

I dont know where you are looking from, but this is truly stunning! Seriously I never thought digital can be better then real painting! f/v

Angela A Stanton replied:

Sure it can but really only if you did the "real" before the digital so you know what you are looking to achieve. If you have never painted in oil or pastel, you won't be able to paint in that in digital. Digital is much harder actually! Few people realize that!
