Collage Moscow Kremlin 1. From upper left to lower right you see the following: 1. The general view of the Kremlin in winter evening. Moscow river and Great Stone brigde are in front of you. From left to right you see the sunlit hotel "Moscow", then comes Trinity tower of the Kremlin. This is the main tourist entrance to the Kremlin. Then comes rectangle Borovitskaya tower - the main automobile and official entrance to the Kremlin. Then comes round Vodovzvodnaya (water pumping) tower which was used for water supply. Behind it you see the Great Kremlin palace Ivan the Great bell tower and Archangel cathedral. That's the view. 2. Fun palace. It was build as a residential apartment and included Our Lady�s Glorification Church. 3. Ivan the Great bell tower behind the Kremlin wall. 4. Golden domes of the Church Of The Nativity. 5. Spassky (Savior's) tower. The main tower of Moscow Kremlin decorated with chimes - the main Russian clock. According to the Wikipedia, "The Kremlin clock faces have a diameter of 6.12 metres (20.1 ft) and are placed on all four sides of the Spasskaya tower. The Roman numerals are 0.72 m (2.4 ft) tall. The length of the hour hand is 2.97 m (9.7 ft), and of the minute hand 3.27 m (10.7 ft). The total weight of clock and bells is 25 tons. The mechanism is powered by 3 weights, weighing between 160 and 224 kilograms (353 and 494 lb). Accuracy is achieved by a pendulum weighing 32 kg (71 lb)." 6. Golden domes of Dormition cathedral. 7. Tzar cannon. It has fired maybe just a single test shot. According to the Wikipedia, "The Tsar Cannon is made of bronze and weighs 39.312 tonnes and has a length of 5.34 m (17.5 ft). Its bronze-cast barrel has an internal diameter of 890 mm (35.0 in), and an external diameter of 1,200 mm (47.2 in)." 8. Moscow as viewed from the Kremlin to the South. The Tainitskaya (Secret) tower in in front of you. There was an escape tunnel under the tower from the Kremlin to the Moscow river. 9. Cathedral of the Annunciation. 10. Borovitskaya tower. The official entrance to the Kremlin. You can see also the building of the Diamond Fund and the Kremlin Armoury. 11. Tzar bell. The huge bell that was destroyed by fire before installation in 1737. They say that Napoleon Bonaparte, during his occupation of Moscow in 1812, considered taking the bell as a trophy to France, but was unable to move it, due to its size and weight. According to the Wikipedia, "The bell is the largest bell in the world, weighing 201,924 kilograms (445,166 lb), with a height of 6.14 metres (20.1 ft) and diameter of 6.6 metres (22 ft), and thickness of up to 61 centimetres (24 in)." 12. Archangel, Dormition cathedrals and Ivan the Great bell tower as viewed fron the Moscow river. Individual photos of square and rectangle format are also available.
