Conquering The Storm
Photograph - Photography
While visiting Emerald Isle on Bogue Banks, NC, we had Tropical Storm Alberto brush the coast and then Tropical Storm Beryl do the same the week we were there. This photo won first place for NYTimes About.com Photography National Photography Month of May Contest for Photo of the Year 2012 last week. Thank you Liz Masoner and all that voted for this photo. I was standing in an undertoe from the storms rip current praying I would not loose my footing with my camera when I took this photo. I named the photo "Conquering The Storm". We all have storms in life and some are rougher than others, but with faith in God, He brings us through them and eventually the sun comes back out. My Mother In Law was in the hospital while we were there and I shot this. She is doing well now. To my Mom who lost her husband and my Dad last August, and to my Mother in Law I dedicate this photo.
