This is one of my quick ink sketches with my Chinese brushes! Done some years ago when I painted this way every day.

Many thanks, Lenore. I have so many memories of this cat.

Oh, I love this immediately! Fabulous work of art! v/f/tw

Picked out my fav. Enjoyed checking your nice art out and reading your interesting bio.

So happy you liked this one. Coo Coo Michelle (named by my daughter) was with our family for 20 years!!! An amazing cat. I have been looking at your lovely art.....!

You are so right, Jane. My teacher never actually saw me with a brush. I copied and brought it to the small class and it was critiqued and then we watched him create another glorious landscape and we were sent home with our new one to copy. I learned so so much. I learned from watching him do it. His name is Frank Chiu and he had a one man show in New York City. He and his wife and two sons....all dear, very talented people.

Naturally! Don't ever let anyone tell you copying is evil! Plain and simple copying/imitating is how intelligent beings learn! Great masters were not born great -- they studied and copied until they BECAME great! :)

This is beautiful! It has a simple Asian feel to it. Do more!

Thank you, Jane. I studied Chinese brush painting for several years and I'll post some of it So much of the learning was in copying, however!

Nancy, Another favorite! F/V

I bet I couldn't do this with Feather....I need to try.

Purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrfection , simply beautiful painting . Lovelovelove

Thank you Paul. I loved your art and it's a toss/up between portraits and cats. You do both with such a knowing soul.

Thank you Timi. Cats make for wonderful subjects....and great friends.

And for making her a Feature on your Cat page! An honor.

Thank you so much showing Coo Coo!
