Description
This cave, located on the waterfront in Yorktown, is believed to have been where Cornwallis moved his headquarters during the seige at Yorktown during the Revolutionary War in 1781. It was later used as a munitions magazine during the Civil War, when a structure was built in front of the cave where you see the square support holes. It is also thought to originally have been a smuggler's cave.
