Glad to hear you are using Yupo paper. Nice to try different papers. Challenging work with darker background and saving the brightness of the flowers.

Marsha Elliott replied:

thanks, William....have you ever tried it? I had to cut around all those on top of the dark area....alot of work as I used a full sheet.

Now I am feeling like spring....nice work marsha!

Marsha Elliott replied:

Thanks so much....Spring was all I could think of while doing this! :). It'll be here soon, I hope.

This one definitely screams "FUN!" Very nicely done!

Marsha Elliott replied:

Thanks, Ken. It really was fun and it allowed me to loosen up that day.

Lovely work Marsha. I have just completed work on cosmos as well. They are such interesting flowers to paint- You are always such a busy girl trying out new subjects.

Marsha Elliott replied:

Thank you, Val....looking forward to seeing your cosmos! I can't honestly say what my favorite subject to paint is.....guess I like to do a little bit of everything. :)

Wonderful, Marsha! Light, breezy, fun... lots of motion and movement. At 18*F here, with snowsquall warnings, I can just about feel summer in your cosmos.

Marsha Elliott replied:

Thanks, Peggy, for your wonderful comment. Like you, we have snow on the ground and 11 degrees with a windchill of 0 so these cosmos gave me hope of Spring and better days ahead.
