Description:

acrylic inks, watercolor, collage, verigated gold leaf, gouache (claybord with side frame 2 inch finished in goldleaf application with verigated goldleaf applied to the gown and jesters headress)

Theme related for April Fool. The court jester often was employed to "entertain" poke fun, harrass, tell stories, weave mysteries. Very often their tales had a spark of truth mixed into the fun and whimsy that unless one listened closely to the tale; they missed the truth.
This was done with that in mind to draw attention to the "state of our world". The balance act of what is and what might be. The Jester's "exploding star" balances at the tip of her finger while she dances over the revolving Earth below. The Moon hangs ever present "full" and reflecting.
