Description:

For this three-dimensional painting, I first painted an 8�x20� watercolor in the center of a piece of 22�x30� watercolor paper.

Next, I stippled a thick layer of Gesso (a medium oil painters use to prime their canvases) over the remaining surface (border) of the watercolor paper. Utilizing additional Gesso, I sculptured artificial lilies, various laces and decorative butterflies over the hardened Gesso layer. Then, I applied actual tiny hinges, key plate and a window knob to complete this charming cottage window. The original painting is framed in a gold colored, metal 32�x40� frame.
