Description:

A gracefully curving flagstone path lined with colorful flowers makes a welcoming entry to this adobe pueblo in Taos, New Mexico. Courtyard gardens such as this are a distinctive feature of the pueblo style of architecture originated by the area's first inhabitants, the Pueblo tribe of Native American Indians. The garlands of red chili peppers hanging next to the front door are another common sight in Taos.
