Description:
This is a detail from a larger watercolor of mine originally titled Creatix. I was thinking about several things while painting ; creation myths, the divine feminine, new beginings, spring, fertility, birth and abundance. I was painting something about myself and the way I live. Finally, I was making a statement regarding the way visionaries and many artists think and process. We've an innate inner sight and often percieve possibility, opportunity, purpose, and pattern where the less imaginative see nothing but everyday surroundings and situations. Sometimes we have this feeling inside yet lack the tools and training to fully express it...but its there, incubating and awaiting the opportunity to emerge. Part of being an artist is not only working in a chosen medium but taking a creative approach to problem solving and life. This gift makes our way of being rich and multifaceted.
