Photograph - Photograph
Reconstruction of the head of Cro-Magnon man. Cro-Magnon is the earliest European example of Homo sapiens. Cro-Magnons lived between about 40,000 and 10,000 years ago, in the Upper Paleolithic. They were anatomically similar to modern humans, although slightly more robust with a larger cranial capacity. They used flint tools, and also made paintings, sculptures and carvings. Model by Maurice Wilson circa 1950.
