Description:

I visited Croatia in October 2008 when standing in the square in Dubrovnik I looked up and saw this window. I knew instantly that it would be a great subject.

A renowned artist that I sent a photograph of the painting had this to say, �This is a beautiful painting. The subtle harmony of the colors, so satisfying. The diagonal tilt, echoed in the windows and shutters set askew, lends vitality. The textured wall is rich background. The pigeon adds life and contrast, but more so does the laundry and the open window which tempt us to create our own story of the occupant(s), adding mystery and allowing us, the viewers, to participate in the creation of the work. Well done.� The painting is museum stretched mounted in a black floater frame.
