Built between 1710 and 1732 the now restored baroque Zwinger Palace in Dresden, Germany was Frederick-Augustus I's grand and ambitious project.
Its most famous entrance is the Crown Gate or Kronentor. Its architecture with herm pilasters and concave/convex curved walls is in sync with Italian High Baroque.
At the top of the tower four Polish eagle carry a replica of the Polish crown.
