Description:

When I did this piece I was thinking about global warming, the wars going, my own internal struggles and the chaotic and unsettled nature of the clients I work with (at-risk youth). I realized that I was looking for peace within myself as well as the world around me . . . and often times peace comes from within ourselves (hence, the peace doves coming out of the mouth and circling around). I used the pink and the yellow to express love and healing . . . and we need to love and heal ourselves before we can love and help others to heal.
