1John 3:1-3 "Great is the love the Father has lavished on us,that we should be called children of God."
This was a time in my life where I truly got to be Daddy's girl,a season of innocence and carefree, doing all kinds of fun things(parties with balloons, tiaras, lots of pink). It was also a season when he would take me back and remind me of when I was a little girl. There was an especially fond memory of a photograph of me in a pink dress, sitting on my Grandma's green armchair.I was holding a pink bunny in my hands.I felt that my Father was looking down on me,so happy that I was so happy and felt so pretty in my pink dress.
God also gave me a memory of hanging out on the farm when I was growing up,lingering around the water trough because I was fascinated with all the bugs floating in the water.I would take a leaf and scoop the bugs that were still half alive out of the trough and try to save them. Mostly I saved flies, sometimes the odd butterfly. I would take them back to my room, blow on them, fan them..trying to revive them. Some of them would make it. I really wanted to save the flies lives. But oh,how I felt the Fathers delight in this time(looking back). He was delighted in how he'd created me,to be such a compassionate carefree girl.
Romans 8:15-17 "For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear. But you received a spirit of sonship and by Him we cry,"Abba,Father". The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs--heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ,if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory."
