Beautifully handled. The delicate splatters could be blood, paint or confetti. Her peaceful expression could be bravery, celebration, serenity. You let the viewer decide what its about, and why. I like that interaction

You captured your subject mid-air so to speak--her arm and the scarf almost seem to be moving. The sobering message of the spatters contrasts with the friendly face and smile and socks a punch to the viewer. A powerful, excellent portrait, Kevin. Liz Bogard

I supposed that you took a picture of her, she looks so unaware of her surroundings and it's so obvious, great painting! This girl will need so much love . . .

Where have I been all this time? This is fabulous. So many comments already, but I haven't seen one on what struck me first: the beautiful texture of the garment. And it fills at least three-quarters of the painting. And, as the other comments mention in detail, it is breath-taking, even without the caption, even without the caption -- at least it was, IS, for me!

Excellent work. I really am attracted not only by the quality of the subject, but the eye leans towards the spots on the wall. Great invite...

Such an attractive painting that really takes you in. I can imagine waliking and talking with the daughter of the Prophet. I am inspired by Kevin's work because it is so full of life and feeling and emotion. Nothing dull or lack luster here.

Charles Peck
Punta Gorda, Fl
really captures her spirit and all the global political stuff going on adds emphasises to her youthful innocence. A risky composition that adds dynamic tension and works for me because she is looking back into the picture and the apparently blood spattered wall which contrasts with effortless appearing rendering of her person and drives the contrast the contrast home between her particular individual humanity and the horror of rag head terror. Powerful piece.
