Day In The Dorner Cabin 3
Painting - Acrylic
On February 2, 2013 Chris Dorner decided to take a vendetta out on the LAPD. The mainstream news captured this as a rant and a lunatic. What really happened?
Dorner previously had defended a victim of a brutal attack by the LAPD in police custody, where Teresa Evans, a cop kicked a mentally ill person in custody and hand-cuffed. He also defended against white cops from using the word "nigger" frequently to black officers with no reprisal. After he defended the victim against the police officer, the LAPD forced Dorner out of his career by the same friends of the cop he brought charges against. Subsequently, he also was discharged from the Navy because of this action. Hence, the LAPD completely burned his background and name to defend one cop abusing a victim.
Dorner then wrote a Vendetta about how he was going to kill all the corrupt cops in the LAPD. I would say this was a very fatal mistake. No matter how well trained you are, you cannot take on the whole LAPD by yourself. This is a sad state of the LAPD's use of racism and burning anyone crossing the Blue line. Hopefully, the LAPD can be reformed by this sad case, so something positive can come of Dorner's actions and injustice by the LAPD. There is also speculation that the police intentionally set the fire to burn Dorner alive, but Dorner then shot himself to avoid such a dreadful death.
Dorner received the following military awards in service:
National Defense Service Medal
Iraq Campaign Medal
Global War on Terrorism Service Medal
Navy Sea Service Deployment Ribbon
Navy and Marines Corps Overseas Service Ribbon
Armed Forces Services Medal with M device
Navy Rifle Markmanship Ribbon
Navy Expert Pistol Shot Medal
