Description:

I drew this snow leopard from a photograph I took at the zoo. The poor guy looks so bored. Original is framed.

Hi Heather, Thanks so much for your lovely comments re. the Eastern rosellas. I had always wanted to paint bright red birds against a grey background. That was the perfect chance to do just that! ps. I love this drawing...great tonal contrast and composition.

heather, try this experiment in artistic license....try to envision his tail melting into the dark background, perhaps with a bit of a flip , creating some nice dramatic lines of movement upward. that would be using artistic license! another thought, forget the traditional colors of this cat and fill it in with a blue purple palette. have fun....your license allows you to play!
