Description:

Shortly after death at the crucifixion of Jesus, three souls descend to Hell. One of the thieves descends to the bosom of Abraham, the other to hell proper. Jesus is depicted as descending rather than falling. The ultimate Author of Life meets death. This piece is not yet available for purchase.
