Sarah.. yes, I love those pencils too!! Ever try Faber-Castell? They also blend nicely WITH the Prismacolor.. gives you lots more colors...

Thank you again! To echo the above comments; your work is GREAT!! And to answer your question, I use Prismacolors. I find they blend and layer the best and are the most like paints. (which I also love, but with three young children, don't get to use very often!! :)

My most favorite cat of all, Tigers. Beautiful painting! Thank you again for your comments on my pictures. I've never had the chance to pet one of these beautiful beasts. I came close but I invisioned me losing my hand so I didn't. That must have bee just awesome, I can't imagine. The closest I got to a touching a wild animal is a snapping turtle, I removed a fishing hook from his leg, for some reason he knew that I was helping and not trying to hurt him.

Your art work is lovely. I love your Siberian Tiger. And I really like your graphite paintings. Really like your "growing up" idea. I want to thank you too for all your comments on my work. I really appreciate you taking the time to view it. Will keep checking your work :-D ...

Beautiful tiger Barbara. Just stopped back to look again. The coloring and finesse in the details make it spring to life. Thanks again for the compliments. Be productive and be well.

I love all of your cats... they are wonderful. I see you are an animal lover... I am going to e-mail you a picture (collage) of a local lady that out of the goodness of her heart feeds the anilmals here at Lake Elsinore. And thanks for your comment on "Monica Praising"

Anon, besides saying thank you - do you paint? If you do, then just use the pastels and colored pencils the same way. You can layer patels very easily and it's a lot of fun. Go ahead, dive in.. you won't lose a thing if you don't try!

Very nice! It is neat that two people can view the same paintings and have a favorable but different opinion of them. I personally like the effect of lack of background, and feel it would divert attention from the subject. I concur that the cats are wonderful, as are the dogs and horses. I know very little about art, and have no training in it, but I do know what I like, and your gallery is filled with pieces that fit into that category. Hope you have a great day! Stan

Your great cats are wonderful. Do you have a zoo nearby where you can draw & paint from life? I believe you might benefit from a regular infusion directly from the animals. Zoos are not pleasant. Perhaps you could invest in a kitten There is a new American breed called a Toyger .($8K) . Tiger markings on a house cat. They are fabulous. You do great work. I can only suggest that the critters might benefit from a more active background (activate the space). JMHO Jon
