Description:

As an artist I appreciate and paint everything around my home in Topanga. In this oil painting I portrayed the winter's sunset light on the West end of the San Fernando Valley that borders my home town. The hillsides in the foreground are the slopes of Santa Monica Mountains, the southern boundary of this valley. The Topanga Canyon Boulevard crosses the valley and ends at the foothills of the Susana Mountains. Tall uninviting hotel and office buildings rise over what once was a lush orchard land.
