As an avid lover of Odonata...I spend hours a day admiring and photographing these graceful creatures that call my pond home. That being said...this is my absolute favorite work of art yet, that I have seen featuring the fascinating dragons and damsels. I dabble in painting and still have yet to paint a successful dragonfly. You have set the perfect mood for an enchanting evening with the Darner Dragonflies, wonderful depiction of your dragons and you took it a step further to add a couple of Damselflies as well. I absolutely adore this painting...beautiful. FYI note...most dragonflies retire for the evening, with the exception of the large Darner Dragonfly...the have been noted to fly around night flood lights, etc. So, it is not impossible that a Dragon may occasionally dine on a firefly.( ofdamselsanddragons.blogspot.com)
