Drawing - Prismacolor Premiere Pencils, Pelikan Ink Pen, Gouache
Original artwork - 16.5" x 9.5" Prismacolor Premiere colored pencil with Pelikan fine ink pen and gouache on strathmore bristol. Native American influenced design of masked figures stretching their hands through the ground, their fingers growing into stalks of corn. Above, a native woman with a red blanket covering carries a large basket of maize on the back, a rainbow flowing from her path. Below, mirrored male figures climb ladders toward the central figure who rises above the adobe houses from his ladder to intersect the aligning sun, moon, and earth, arms stretched upward, ready to take his position with fingers growing into the next crop of maize.
