The Eaton Canyon Nature Trail straddles the boundary between the rugged Angeles National Forest and the urban megaloplis of Los Angeles. This easily accessible nature trail at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains is a blessing for stressed out Angelenos who want to escape the hectic pace of city life for a while. Hiking in this canyon, one can easily imagine how wild and untamed Los Angeles might have been just a hundred years ago when it really was the edge of the western frontier.
