Forgot the exact scan rate that gets the best, but if you check Photo.Net about scans, believe you will find it there. If I recall correctly, its no higher than 2400 pixels, anything higher is created in the computer. It just makes a larger file, without adding any quality. That could also depend on the scanner used.

Thanks for the feedback Nadine & Bob; I'll keep that in mind, but I don't think I have gone over that. When I scan prints I usually use 300 PPI to 600 PPI.

Just thought I'd say this was shot using my Pentax 4.56, and scanned. I don't submit many scans as I can't ssem to get sufficient quality. But when I do get a good scan, it shows.
