The air was still, the water was like glass, and the light was just beginning to paint the tops of the mountain peaks ahead. Inching into the frost-covered reeds a little further, I went slightly too far and my boots suddenly filled up with water! Ah well, that's a small price to pay for a gorgeous sunrise in David Thompson Country.
